Letters to Friends
Dear friends,
Our Australian & American (the couple David and Joanna) left an hour ago to their next destination, Amsterdam. Then after this country, they are going to continue their world-tour to Italy, France, India, Thailand and and to Australia. They were already 8 months on tour to several countries, from Down Under, to America, Africa, Middle East and Europe… It was fun to have them from the 2nd till today. Although with the bad condition of our father/FIL, we do have fun. Why should we be sad with this life? Our friends brought love with them and share with us as their own family. It was a blessed week.
FIL has trouble with breathing since yesterday and last night they gave him oxygen to breath easily. He doesn’t believe in God but he has a very strong heart. So, he will not leave us yet. I praise the Lord for that.
I hope to be here often but if not, please forgive me. There are things to be done first.
Till next time.
Love,
Jenn
Second Day at LB
Today was my second official day at work, not mentioning the 25th April which was for the handover work.
Everyone is busy with the close. An American colleague, BT, came from Houston office to Rotterdam just to help us with the close. BT and my manager, EJ, took turn to show me the work although that was EJ’s first time doing the work too.
Yesterday, I almost had no time to take drinks and today I called up the helpdesk to get my password for accessing Windows. Then I contacted the Finance secretary to arrange other things such as systems access and other set-ups. My calendar for the next two weeks is already full with meetings with the big bosses and the managers from different departments. I will also go to the plant with my manager for the monthly meetings and in the future to other plants as well. I have been to several close-meetings now and I am already excited. I hope this is the one I was looking for.
My FIL
My FIL was admitted in the hospital on last Thursday. First in the intensive care unit then in the lungs department and now at another floor. Last week we thought we would lose him forever because of the way he was found at his home by his neighbour/lady companion who is 84 y.o.
Fortunately he still can speak but he cannot walk and cannot do things himself yet. We just hope and pray that he will be back to normal again.
I know… we have been away and enjoying ourselves despite our father/FIL’s condition. But life goes on and we are everyday on his side during the visit time which is the only time we are allowed to see him. We just leave things to God’s hands.
To Zeeland With D&J (1)
Today is my last day ‘vacationing’. It is Liberty Day (Bevrijdingsdag) in the Netherlands, so we have a day public holiday today.
Wim is off and David and Joanna are still here with us. So, Wim drove us all to the direction of the province of Zeeland. We went to two beaches, showed them the longest bridge in Europe (5 km long) and went to a town called Zierikzee. All four of us were really like tourists when we went up the tower for EUR2.00 per person. Tiring, yes.. very but worth the climb because it was a nice view from up there.
At the first beach, I joined David and Joanna to the water, Wim waited near the car. There were so many oysters and other types of seafood. When David got 2 normal size of oysters and 1 big one, I felt like I wanted to eat them but David was not sure if I could eat them. If I had lime at that moment, I wouldn’t care about the consequences, I loveeeeee oysters.
I still haven’t uploaded the photos, will share soon.
Visiting the Tulips in Keukenhof (1)
Jenn, Vilma, David and Joanna
Yesterday, I had a great day with my friends. We went to spend time together at Keukenhof in Lisse, just to get energised with good energy from the nature. Vilma and I planned it together but once my Australian/American friends David and Joanna came on Friday night, I invited them to join us. David and Joanna are on a world tour and had been on the journey for the last 8 months to several countries. Their last place was in Cairo, Egypt before heading to the Netherlands.
David and Joanna, and, Wim and I are linked through the CS website. It is fun to have them with us, they are very sweet and fun to be with. More will come soon hopefully. They will stay with us till the 11th of Feb.
May – Month of Our Lady
May is here and the spring has helped us cleansing our body, mind and spirit. It is the month of Our Lady. May the love and joy will bring us together.
Let’s pray for the fathers of several people who are very ill at these hours. Please join me praying The Holy Rosary and The Chaplet of Divine Mercy for our beloved family.
Peace be with you.

Honouring My Birth Gift
When I was born, I was born a tiny creature without any beliefs. Then I was baptised as a Catholic. This I was, this I am and this I will be.
To my fellow brothers and sisters who believe of Our Lady The Virgin Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, please help yourself by praying our Lord’s and Lady’s teaching. If you don’t know any prayers, I would like to recomment this site Prayers at Catholic.org .
