Roma Italia, here we come
It has been a busy week. Our German colleagues came to our office today, to catch up more work and knowledge from me.
Today, I have things to do. Packing for Rome, Italy. Mom, dad and I will leave tomorrow. Wim cannot take off during this season. 
We’ll fly from Rotterdam Airport to Fiumicino Airport also called Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome, Italy. Then, we’ll take a train to Rome and from there take a metro to our appartment, near the Vatican City.
We’ll be away for 5 days and will be back on the 15th, next Wednesday.
This will be my second trip to Rome and I hope I know what to do there.
See you in a few days. I don’t bring my laptop now and I want to just enjoy the time without computer this time. OK? Ciao..
Visit to Drenthe etc
My week was very nice. My parents enjoy themselves. When dear hubby Wim is not working during the week, he brings them to go sightseeing by car. Wim loves to drive so he does not mind to drive my parents to every corner of the country, he even wants to drive us to Austria to see the beautiful alps and landscapes.
Anyway, we took our time today to visit our cousin Paula, her husband Lambert and his parents in Drenthe. Lambert’s dad has been going in and out of the hospital these days because of cancer.
It was nice to see my cousin again. Lambert’s father looks thinner and tired but his smile is always there. We had lunch, mixed Malaysian and Dutch style. Then after lunch, we went back to the backyard to sit down, chatted, drink etc. Taking advantage of the beautiful day in this summer season.
Around 5pm, we left. On the way, the road was busy with trucks. There was audience everywhere along the road. Kids, women and men in their shirt or half-naked shirt sitting on a chair, or mixing with friends/family with their beer while looking at the trucks on the highway. So many different type of trucks, big, small, old, new, etc. No wonder they were partying, it is the Trucks day/festival today.
